Artists In The Window

Charles Hill, President of the Lynwood Artists and Roland Guidry, LA member, spend a few hours a week painting in the window of the new Café at Arts & Deli owned by Linda Artis.

Iris Gillispie, Program/Media Director of the Lynwood Artists, approached Linda about producing a live Internet broadcast show, from her café, about the artists in Martinsville, VA.  Until the details of her broadcast are worked out, the artists will be practicing their talents in Café's window.

Watch for the artists in the window, and stop by and say hello, they will be glad to talk with you on their art techniques.

June 8th Meeting

We had 9 attendees at our June meeting. 

Our main focus was on how to spend the club's money and how to help build a stronger artists' community.

Workshops, events and luncheons were brought to the table for discussion.  And a discussion on how to use live broadcasts to benefit the artists, club/s and community was held.

A June 18th informal social networking event is planned at the Cafe at Arts & Deli from 5pm to 8pm. 

Everyone is responsible for their own meal tab.
